A webinar presented by the IBA Healthcare and Life Sciences Law Committee and the IBA Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Committee, Monday 12 January 2026, 1600-1700 UK time.

When technology and intellectual property rights are core assets, licensing to and from commercial partners is an essential part of a company's strategy. Licensing generates revenue, in addition to enhancing a company's value. For start-ups, leveraging on in-house R&D capabilities of large corporations, licensing in and out to strategic partners may secure their business development and increase the probability for new product launches. Figuring out the right steps to take is challenging and requires a dedicated strategy. Join in-house and counselling legal experts in both intellectual property and commercial matters, with long-term experience in the field of life sciences, as they discuss issues relating to licensing and share with participants their knowledge and insight.
