This session will look at the status of insolvency laws in key African countries – Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa – and the emerging issues in restructuring in these countries. As increased levels of foreign investment into Africa in recent years is being matched with domestic changes in insolvency legislation and restructuring issues for businesses, there is a need to understand the changing legal landscapes in many countries.
