A webinar presented by the IBA Legal Policy & Research Unit and supported by the Association of Corporate Counsel Middle East & North Africa
As the climate crisis deepens, lawyers are increasingly being called on to negotiate with and advise clients on the challenges and opportunities of the net zero transition. General counsels play a unique role in issue spotting for clients, including advising on contract terms related to disclosure and compliance on emissions and supply chain management, and staying up to date on the latest regulations and laws relevant to industry and government standards related to climate, biodiversity and value chain due diligence.
This panel of lawyers will reflect on their own experiences and give participants practical advice when advising clients in the net zero transition (even for those whose clients don’t think they need to pay attention!).
