A webinar presented by the IBA Judges Forum and supported by the IBA Rule of Law Forum and the IBA Academic and Professional Development Committee.
The ‘administration of justice’ is a broad expression which encompasses a system structure or framework through which the state seeks to achieve fairness and efficiency in the dispensation of justice. Continuing legal education for judges is an indispensable tool in the administration of justice as it ensures higher level of professional ethics and responsibility, in addition to broader knowledge of the law in the discharge of judicial functions.
This webinar brings together a group of top judges to discuss the following:
• the reasons for judges to continue their education;
• the leadership of a judicial college;
• tracking developments in the law – statutory and judicial;
• the organisation of training courses for judges; and
• the training of the trainers, and necessary course materials.
