A webinar presented by the IBA Bar Issues Commission (BIC) Regulation Committee
Efforts to address discrimination, harassment and bullying in the legal profession are necessary. These are issues that the professional must address in the educational, qualification and workplace contexts. But what does that mean from a professional regulatory context? What is the IBA doing to help the global legal profession grapple successfully with these pervasive problems?
This session will highlight two new IBA resources as the springboard for discussion about the right role of regulators in this effort. They are the 2022 IBA Global Directory of Anti-Discrimination Rules Within the Legal Profession, developed by the IBA BIC Regulation Committee, and Beyond Us Too? Regulatory Responses to Bullying and Sexual Harassment in the Legal Profession, developed by the IBA Legal Policy & Research Unit with support from the IBA BIC Regulation Committee.
