The 2025 IBA Annual Conference will take place in Toronto, Canada. This dynamic metropolis with a core of soaring skyscrapers, is known as one of the most cosmopolitan, multicultural cities in the world with nearly half of the population being foreign-born and boasting 150 spoken languages.

By paying the non-member fee, we welcome you as a delegate member of the IBA for the year in which this conference is held, which entitles you to the following benefits:

IBA member academics/judges
The academic fee is reserved for those who are full time teaching staff employed solely by a university or college. The judge fee is reserved for those who are practicing judges and are solely employed by a court.

Senior lawyers
The reduced senior lawyer rate is offered to lawyers who are over the age of 65, have been an IBA member for more than 20 years and are no longer practising law.

The public lawyer fee is reserved for those who are employed solely by a government body.

The reduced young lawyer rate is offered to lawyers who are under the age of 30.

The corporate counsel fee is reserved for those who are employed solely as legal counsel or an in-house lawyer to a company or corporation.

Payment information
This conference is cashless
The IBA will only be able to accept credit/debit cards for transactions during the conference and at conference venues. There will be no cash facilities available. We can take secure payments on site using any of the cards listed below.
It is the cardholder's responsibility to ensure the card's security details are ready, and to check that there is a sufficient balance on the card for the payment to complete.

Early booking fee deadline
All bookings must be received by Friday 18 July to attend the conference at the discounted rate.
Bank transfer bookings
- If payment is not received (with proof of bank transfer payment) the early booking fee discounted rate will not be honoured
- If payment is made without a completed booking form, payment will be returned to the sender within 14 days of receipt and the early booking fee discounted rate may not be honoured

Booking deadline
All bookings must be received (with proof of bank transfer payment for hard copy bookings) by close of business on Friday 17 October in order to be processed.
Bookings received on or close to Friday 17 October may take several days to process due to the high volume received at this time. Therefore, you may experience a short delay in your booking being processed and, in some cases, this will be after Friday 17 October. Note: after this date, conference booking will still be possible on-site, and the higher on-site booking fee will apply.
Bank transfer bookings
- Conference booking fees sent by bank transfer to the IBA bank accounts, without a completed booking form, will be returned to the sender within 14 days of receipt and the early booking fee discounted rate might not be honoured.

Booking amendments (including social event purchases)
The last day that an individual can add social events or guests online is Friday 17 October. After this date, all amendments and/or additions to conference bookings can only be made on-site at the conference.
Please note we cannot guarantee fulfillment of dietary requests for social function purchases made after Friday 17 October.
