On 22 November 2023, the IBA European Regional Forum (ERF), the IBA Academic and Professional Development Committee and the IBA Future of Legal Services Commission, in cooperation with Roma Tre University, organised a university day and job fair. The events were attended by many (15) of the largest national and international law firms in Italy and the law students of Roma Tre.
Amongst others, Claudio Doria, member of the ERF Advisory Board, explained the IBA’s constitution, activities and membership. A panel of professors, lawyers and headhunters – including Massimo Calderan, ERF Co-Chair – discussed with the students from the perspective of an international business lawyer how to get ready for an interview and prepare a CV, which skills are valued and what crucial information should be delivered during an interview. Thereafter, partners presented their law firms and finally the job fair took place, where the students had a first interview with professionals from the attending law firms.
