Biography

Dr. Laura Yvonne Zielinski is an Associated Partner at Noerr. She has over a decade of experience in international arbitration, with a particular focus on international investment disputes. She represents both States and investors in proceedings before international tribunals. Her practice also includes advice on corporate (re)structuring to ensure protection under international investment agreements, on contract-based investment protection, and on the compliance of public policies with international treaty obligations. In addition, she advises on complex public international law matters, with a particular focus on the space industry. Her monograph on International Investment Protection in the Space Sector (publication upcoming at Kluwer) is the first on this topic. Currently based in Frankfurt, Laura has close personal and professional ties to France, Mexico and Germany, is admitted to practice law in Paris, New York and Mexico, and represents clients in English, French, Spanish and German. Laura is Vice-Chair of the Space Law Committee of the International Bar Association, Co-founder and President of the Space Arbitration Association, and a member of the International Institute of Space Law.
