Biography

Tsedey Girma Mengistu is an international tax and corporate lawyer at BonelliErede, based in Addis Ababa, with eight years of experience advising on international taxation, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions. Her practice increasingly focuses on the legal and regulatory frameworks governing capital markets, securities exchanges, and financial sector development in emerging economies. Tsedey holds an LL.M. in International and Comparative Tax Law from Uppsala University and was the second-place recipient of the 2023 IBA Young Lawyers Scholarship (Tax Committee). Combining expertise in international tax law with a strong interest in financial market regulation, she advises on the legal structures that facilitate investment, market growth, and economic development.
