Biography

Anna Marcoulli is a Cypriot jurist serving as a Judge at the General Court of the European Union since 2016. She began her career with the Legal Service of the Republic of Cyprus, as a member of the European Union Section from 1998 to 2008. From 2005 to 2007, Anna Marcoulli worked at the Court of Justice of the European Communities as a seconded national expert in the Research and Documentation Division. She then joined the Legal Service of the European Commission from 2008 to 2016. In 2012, she held the position of Legal Adviser for the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union. She was elected President of Chamber by her peers on 30 September 2019 and held that position until 31 August 2025. In the past few years, Anna Marcoulli has intervened regularly in conferences on competition law. Anna Marcoulli is a founding member of the Kypriakó Somateío Dikaíou Enérgeias and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of European Law (ERA).
