Laura Ros Verhoeven
Biography
Laura Ros is one of the most recognized executives in the Spanish automotive industry, with more than 30 years of international experience in strategy, marketing, sales, and aftersales. She currently serves as Group Aftersales Managing Director at Volkswagen Group Spain, where she leads the aftersales strategy and operations for Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Her focus is on enhancing customer experience, improving dealer network profitability, and driving the digital transformation of the business. Holding a degree in Business Administration and MBA from ESADE, Laura began her professional career at Nissan Motor Corporation, where she held several positions in production planning and sales strategy across European markets. In 1997, she joined Volkswagen Group Spain, where she has built most of her professional career. Over more than two decades, she assumed roles of increasing responsibility in product management, marketing, planning, and aftersales before being appointed Managing Director of Volkswagen Spain in 2015. In this role, she led the brand through a pivotal period marked by digitalization, electrification, and the evolution of new mobility models. Beyond her executive responsibilities, Laura is strongly committed to diversity, inclusion, and talent development. She serves as a Board Member of Fundación SIFU, is a member of the Advisory Board of Faconauto Woman, and actively participates in organizations such as the International Women's Forum (IWF) and Eje&Con, promoting female leadership and equal opportunities in the corporate environment. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards recognizing her leadership and contribution to the automotive sector. These include the Executive of the Year Award granted by the Valencia College of Economists in 2024, the Vega Award for Excellence in Automotive and Mobility, the Professional Career Achievement Award from Axel Springer, and recognition in prestigious rankings such as Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain, Forbes Spain’s 100 Most Influential Women and Top 35 CEOs, and El Mundo’s 500 Most Influential Women in Spain. Convinced that the best leadership is the kind that inspires and develops people, Laura advocates a management style based on close engagement with the business, cross-functional collaboration, and the creation of diverse environments capable of successfully addressing the challenges of the mobility of the future.
