Snigdha Bhatta
Biography
Snigdha Bhatta is a Nepal-qualified, India-trained lawyer specializing in international dispute resolution. She is currently Deputy Counsel at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), where she manages a broad portfolio of over 100 active cases, providing legal support on complex cross-border arbitrations conducted under various governing laws and procedural rules. Her experience spans the technology, intellectual property, and commercial sectors across Asia. In addition to her casework, Snigdha plays a key role in leading the SIAC Gateway digital case management platform, where she drives innovation in arbitration tech and enhances workflow efficiency. Snigdha holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from the National University of Singapore, where she was affiliated with the Centre for Technology, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & the Law (TRAIL), and engaged in research collaboration with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School. She earned her B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata. Prior to joining SIAC, she practiced litigation and arbitration at a leading law firm in Kathmandu, and brings a regional lens and cross-border perspective to her international legal practice.
