Biography

Nora Fredstie is an International Arbitration Partner in DACB's London office. She is a specialist in international investment arbitration, international commercial arbitration, and public international law. Nora acts for clients across varied sectors, including oil and gas, life science, renewable energy, construction, investment, financial, commodities, and automotive. She manages cases seated around the world, and predominantly in North and South America, Asia, and Europe. Nora have acted in international arbitrations conducted under the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, SIAC, CRCICA, and UNCITRAL arbitration rules. She has a deep understanding of the Nordic region, is a Norwegian delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, an Advisory Board Member of the Norwegian Arbitration association, and the Chair of the Young Arbitration Practitioners Norway. In addition to her counsel practice, Nora also sits as arbitrator and is nominated to the ICSID panel of conciliators. Nora is often invited to speak at conferences on a broad selection of international arbitration topics and teach international dispute settlement at various universities in Europe. Nora has been ranked by Who’s Who Legal since 2020. For 2025, Nora was ranked Tier 1 by Lexology (formerly WWL) as part of the Global Elite Thought Leaders List for international arbitration.
