Biography

Oriol specialises in dispute resolution (arbitration, mediation and litigation). He has extensive experience in domestic and international arbitration; he advises on complex transnational litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, disputes arising from equity purchase and sales, corporate law, and liability of directors. His clients include local and international companies and industrial and financial groups. He participates in arbitration proceedings before the ICC, ICSID, CAM, CIMA, TAB and in ad hoc proceedings. He is an expert in cases involving multiple jurisdictions and procedural rules. Oriol combines his practice of law with teaching at several universities. In addition to a Double Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, he holds a Diploma in Legal Studies from the Oxford University and an LLM from Harvard. He has worked in the Barcelona, Madrid, São Paulo and London offices of leading international law firms, including Cuatrecasas and the US firm WilmerHale. Admitted to practice law in Spain and the State of New York, he is a member of the Barcelona and New York Bar Associations and the Spanish Arbitration Club.
