Chilufya Peter Sampa
Biography
Mr. Chilufya P. Sampa is an Special Advisor, Competition Law and Policy for Shamba Centre For Food and Climate on Competition law and policy. He has over 22 years in this field. He has consulted with the World Bank, Commonwealth Secretariat, United Nations Development Programme, CUTS International, COMESA Competition Commission and UNCTAD. He served as Executive Director of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Zambia for 11 years during which time, the CCPC conducted its first dawn raids, developed a corporate leniency policy and busted several cartels. Previously, he headed the mergers and acquisitions department and before that was also the head of the consumer protection and welfare department. Mr. Sampa served on several boards nationally and regionally. Mr. Sampa has a bachelor’s in Business Administration, a masters degree in Economic Policy Management and abachelor’s in Commercial Law.
