Biography

Jane is a risk management, regulatory and compliance lawyer. Admitted as an English solicitor in 1993, she began her career specialising in defendant professional indemnity claims and insurance policy wording before moving into law firm risk management in 2001. She spent a decade with two large international law firms, where she was responsible for global insurance programmes, risk management, claims and complaints, ethical issues and regulatory compliance. Since 2011, Jane has worked within the insurance industry, supporting leading international law firms in their implementation of risk management, professional conduct, regulatory compliance, governance and resilience strategies. Jane is currently Head of Risk Management at Price Forbes insurance brokers, based in London, where she provides a bespoke risk management service to Price Forbes’s largest global law firm clients. Jane currently serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the IBA Regulation of Lawyers Committee and is a past contributor to “Risk Management in Law Firms: Strategies for Safeguarding the Future”, published by Globe Law and Business in association with the IBA. She is also a certified business coach.
