Biography

Aaja Chemnitz is a CEO, board member, and former Member of the Danish Parliament, where she represented Greenland for the Inuit Ataqatigiit party from 2015 to 2026. Throughout her career, she has championed children’s rights, social development, Arctic cooperation, and Greenland’s international engagement. Prior to her parliamentary work, she served as Greenland’s Children’s Spokesperson, worked at the United Nations on Indigenous peoples’ rights, and held senior leadership positions in Greenland’s public sector. She holds an MSc in Public Administration from the University of Greenland (Ilisimatusarfik) and has completed executive education at INSEAD, Harvard Kennedy School, and Columbia Business School.
