Biography

Vinayak serves as General Counsel at Lightspeed India (one of the region’s prominent international investment firm), leading legal, risk, and regulatory functions across India and Southeast Asia. He advises Lightspeed funds and also works with their portfolio that includes Oyo, Physicswallah, Zepto, Acko, Razorpay, Zetwerk and ShareChat. In his role, Vinayak is involved in the complete investment lifecycle - from entity formation and fund structuring to portfolio management and exits. During his five-year tenure with Lightspeed India, he has contributed to many fund raises for the Lightspeed funds, advised on complex structuring matters, and overseen more than 250 investment rounds, M&As and exit transactions. Prior to joining Lightspeed India, Vinayak practiced M&A and venture capital at several leading law firms in India. He remains actively engaged in community initiatives and legal advocacy, including pro bono work and mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.
