Biography
Senior Counsel Jimmy Yim is the Chairman of the Board of Drew & Napier LLC and simultaneously Managing Director of the much celebrated Dispute Resolution practice of Drew and Napier LLC, an all-service legal practice in Singapore, established in 1889. He was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1983 and is one of the earliest batches of Senior Counsel being appointed in January 1998, with the honour of being one of the youngest senior counsel below 40 years of age at that time. He was also admitted to practise in England and Wales in 1997. Jimmy’s practice covers a wide range of civil and commercial law, corporate law and international commercial arbitrations. In the span of his career, he has represented clients in a wide spectrum of disputes from energy, joint ventures, infrastructure, telecommunications to technology appearing as lead counsel before the Supreme Court and international arbitration tribunals under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). Amongst his several appointments include being Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and Regional Arbitrator with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). Jimmy also sits on the board of Singapore Medical Group and Low Keng Huat (Singapore) Limited. Jimmy is recommended by name in numerous professional journals and ranking agencies in the area of dispute resolution and construction law as a leading disputes lawyer.
