Natalie Yeung

Biography

Natalie is the Head of Slaughter and May’s Asian Competition Practice. She advises extensively in relation to cross-border M&A with a particular focus on Chinese merger filings. Natalie regularly coordinates merger notifications on complex global transactions, including those requiring remedies across different jurisdictions, and provides strategic advice to clients on timing, sequencing and substance of remedies proposals. Her recent clients have included Booking.com, Elanco Animal Health, Google, INEOS, OOCL, Royal Dutch Shell, Shire, Standard Chartered Bank, Starwood, Tencent. Natalie is also widely recognised as a leading competition lawyer within Hong Kong, including in the latest editions of Chambers Asia-Pacific and the Legal 500 Asia Pacific. She has worked on a number of the ‘firsts’ in Hong Kong, including representing the liner shipping industry and the banking industry on their respective applications to the Competition Commission for exemption from the Ordinance. Natalie has also acted on the first commitments case (representing Booking.com) and the first cooperation cases (representing Harilela Hotels Limited and others) in Hong Kong, as well as other ongoing investigations.
