Biography

Aparna is a Counsel in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Practice at Trilegal. She has vast experience in advising clients on complex legal issues pertaining to data privacy, cross border data transfers, cyber security, consumer protection laws, digital advertising, e-commerce and issues pertaining adoption and use of new age tech including AI. She has assisted several Indian and overseas clients in setting up digital businesses in India. She also assists clients with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, technology transfer agreements, IP acquisition and licensing agreements, product manufacturing and supply agreements, etc. She has represented several clients in IP and technology law disputes before various courts in India including the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts. Aparna has been appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Cyber Security Sub-Committee within the Technology Law Committee of the International Bar Association (2024-2025). She has been recognised as a ‘Rising Star for TMT’ and a “Leading Individual” for IP by Legal 500, 2024.
