Biography

Tânia de Almeida Ferreira is a Partner and Head of the Tax practice at CCA. With over two decades of experience in tax law, she specializes in advising both domestic and international clients on investment planning and strategies, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, financial and real estate tax matters, being also recognized for her extensive experience in tax disputes and litigation cases. Tânia has also been an active voice in stock options matters, given her extensive experience in this matter, being frequently featured in leading press publications and interviews that explore this specialized area of the law. Tânia is recognized for her expertise, having earned several industry honours, including "Lawyer of the Year" in Tax Law by Best Lawyers in 2022 and being named a "Leading partner" by The Legal 500 in 2023. Chambers & Partners placed her in Band 4 for tax law, while the Women in Tax Leaders Guide has recognized her as "Highly Regarded" for the past few years. Her academic background includes post-graduate studies in Tax Law and Accounting, and specialized courses in international taxation.
