Erin Kleisinger

Biography

Erin Kleisinger, KC was nominated to the Federation Council by the Law Society of Saskatchewan in 2018. She is currently a partner in private practice with McDougall Gauley LLP in Regina, where she has a varied commercial and litigation practice with a focus on university and privacy law, and acts as counsel to the University of Regina. Erin has appeared before all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Erin received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and LLB from Queen’s University and was admitted to the Saskatchewan bar in 1993. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2016. Erin was appointed by the Benchers of the Law Society of Saskatchewan in February 2014 to fill a vacancy, and was re-elected in 2015. She was elected Vice-President of the Law Society that same year, and served as its President in 2017. While a Bencher, Erin served on the Executive, Conduct Investigation, Equity and Diversity, Access and Governance Committees, and chaired the Professional Standards Committee. Erin is currently on the faculty of the Law Society’s Trial Advocacy Workshop, acting as its Chair since 2012. She served two terms as a member of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan Judicial Council, and is the former President of the Saskatchewan Legal Education Society Inc. She has also been a sessional lecturer in the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Regina.
