Biography

ALISON HOWELL is Head of Compliance Global Affairs at Ericsson, responsible for allegation management and remediation, M&A compliance, and special projects. Specializing in FCPA monitorships, she was Head of the Monitor Liaison Office at both Ericsson and VEON during their respective four- and three-year FCPA monitorships. Prior to her in-house roles, Ms. Howell was in private practice in the U.S. corporate and arbitration practices of A&O Shearman in London and Paris. Ms. Howell has a master’s degree in Philosophy and graduated from McGill University Law School. She is admitted to the New York and Paris bars. Ms. Howell volunteers regularly for U.S.-based NGO Lawyers Without Borders as a trainer for their anti-wildlife trafficking training programs, which train judges, prosecutors and wildlife officers in East Africa.
