Biography

Juan Manuel Velazquez is a qualified Argentinian lawyer and TRI Underwriter at Tokio Marine HCC, focusing on Latin America and Southern Europe. With diverse legal experience across different sectors and two continents, he embarked on the challenge of developing the Latin American practice from TMHCC’s base in Europe as part of the insurer’s effort in developing the W&I/R&W insurance offering in emerging markets. Juan Manuel now leads the W&I/R&W insurance Latin American practice from within the TMHCC International TRI team in coordination with his colleagues in the US team. As a panelist at the IBA conference, Juan Manuel brings a local view as well as a wealth of experience and insights from one of the insurers to first offer W&I/R&W insurance in the region.
