Biography

Miguel Angel started his professional career in 1998 in the telecommunication industry in Paris, soon after he moved to London where he qualified as English Solicitor in 2005. During these years he supported the international expansion of the Vectone group acquiring expertise in contracting, litigation, regulatory and corporate. He moved to Madrid in 2006 as he changed to the biotech industry (Tigenix – Takeda group). In 2011 Miguel joined Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk as Legal & Compliance Manager where he developed his compliance skills in the pharmaceutical sector. He covered the Iberian territory from Madrid and the African operations from Dubai in different periods. For the past five years Miguel Angel has been Assistant General Counsel Iberia, France and Italy at Elanco, a global animal health company that innovates and delivers products and services to prevent and treat diseases in farm animals and pets. Miguel Angel recently joined Zimmer Biomet, a company with the mission to alleviate pain and improve the quality of life for people around the world, as Compliance Manager EMEA. Miguel is a CESCOM® and IFCA (International Federation of Compliance Associations) Certified Compliance Officer, member of the pharma working group at the Spanish Compliance Association (ASCOM) and a former professor of compliance in the pharmaceutical sector at IE Law School.
