Biography

Taco van der Valk is an advocate (Rotterdam Bar) and arbitrator specialised in international trade (non-consumer sale, international payments) and the carriage of goods and persons. Currently, he is a deputy justice at the 's-Hertogenbosch Court of Appeal, chairman of the Dutch Transport Law Association and a member of the Advisory Board of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI). Former positions: Member of the Executive Council of the Comité Maritime International, Board Member of the Dutch Arbitration Association, Co-editor of the Dutch maritime and transport lawreports Schip en Schade.
