Emma Fernández
Biography
Emma Fernández is an executive with solid experience in ICT, Defense and Transport & Traffic. She began working in ICT for Alcatel and Telefónica. She joined Indra in 1991, where she was appointed Senior Executive VP in 2007. Throughout her career she actively participated in the transformation of the company from a small-cap to a multinational ensuring that a global perspective was taken up to manage key intangible assets: Strategy, Innovation, Talent Management, Brand and Communication, Public Affairs, Corporate Governance and Corporate Responsibility. From 2003 and 2006 she was also responsible for M&A and led operations that strengthened Indra´s leadership in Spain and its presence in Latam. Currently she is member of the Board of Directors of several companies in Spain and France: Axway, Digital Consumer Bank (Grupo Santander), Iskaypet and Metrovacesa and is also member of the Advisory Boards of Aertec and The Corporate Governance Center of ESADE. She is very active in associations and initiatives that promote entrepreneurship and Women Leadership in the business field. She is currently member of the Executive Committee in Curculo de Empresarios and AED and mentor at Endeavor. She has been Vicepresident at IWF, member of the Executive Committee of Real Instituto Elcano, member of the Executive Committee in the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and member of the High Level Group on Aviation Research of the UE and Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research and Innovation in Europe (ACARE).
