Senior partner at Headrick Rizik Alvarez & Fernández since 2003. Member of the firm’s management committee and co-head of the business transactions practice of the firm. Sarah De Leon serves as counsel for national and international clients in the structuring and implementation of mergers and acquisitions, project finance, business reorganizations, contract execution and negotiations, strategic alliances and joint ventures, real estate projects and developments, as well as in processes related to foreign investments. She advises companies, private equity firms, and financial institutions on cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, financings, and restructurings involving the Dominican Republic. Ms. De León brings more than two decades of experience navigating complex transactions on behalf of sophisticated clients doing business in the Dominican Republic. She combines keen market insights with bilingual language skills to handle matters across industries. Sarah De Leon is a proactive legal strategist who inspires confidence, handles a wide range of matters, and designs tailored solutions for her clients. She is a former board member of the Association of Young Businessmen (ANJE) and actively participates in the drafting and review of different laws and regulations. Sarah De Leon has been recognized as a leading practitioner by The Legal 500, Chambers Latin America, IFLR, Latin Lawyer, and is highly renowned for her expertise as a “skilled negotiator” and “praised for her experience and sharp technical knowledge”. As part of her pro-bono work, she is currently co-chair of Dominican Republic chapter of Vance Center’s program Woman in the Profession.
