Biography

Ellen Glaessner is SVP and U.S. Head, Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship and Senior Advisor to the CEO, TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank. Ellen was appointed in February 2024 to lead a hardworking and innovative team that is building out TD Bank's US sustainability program, managing climate change risks, addressing fair access challenges, growing commercial opportunities for environmental and social issues, coordinating fair banking efforts, and innovating philanthropic and charitable solutions to invest in the communities where we live and work. She serves as Senior Advisor to the CEO and President of TD Bank about mission-critical issues and strategic objectives. Prior to her role as Head of Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship and Senior Advisor to the CEO, Ellen served as General Counsel for TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, where her team advised the company’s various business lines as they rolled out new products, implemented regulations, and addressed consumer and business needs. Ellen has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, taking on increasingly senior roles at TD, ING, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, and Texas Commerce Bank. Ellen graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A. in Economics and History and earned her J.D. from Columbia University.
