David Kraut
Biography
David Kraut is General Counsel of Lafayette Square, an impact investment platform focused on creating and preserving jobs and stimulating economic growth across the United States. Prior to joining Lafayette Square, David was a Managing Director and Senior Counsel at Goldman Sachs, where he served as general counsel to multiple asset management businesses, including the Imprint impact investing and Petershill GP stakes businesses. Before Goldman, David practiced corporate law at Debevoise & Plimpton and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, and clerked for the Honorable Victor Marrero in the Southern District of New York. David earned a BA, cum laude, in Ethics, Politics and Economics and International Studies from Yale University and a JD from New York University School of Law, where he served as senior notes editor and executive board member of the Law Review. He currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of Hot Bread Kitchen Incubates, an incubator for women and minority-owned small food businesses.
