Louisa Brown

Biography

Louisa is a barrister currently working at Pogust Goodhead, a leading international law firm specialising in group actions. Pogust Goodhead is bringing the biggest group action ever brought in England and Wales on behalf of over 600,000 victims of the Mariana Dam disaster in Brazil to seek redress against BHP, the world’s largest mining company. The Mariana Dam case will be a landmark trial for 2024, raising some of the most important legal issues in group actions, environmental litigation, and multinationals’ accountability for foreign subsidiaries. Prior to joining the Bar, Louisa was a Fellow at Yale Law School’s Center for International Human Rights.
