Biography

I'm an experienced in-house counsel with over 20 years of experience in the automotive and financial industries. As the General Counsel for LATAM at Vitesco Technologies, I am responsible for overseeing all legal operations across Latin America. My areas of expertise include commercial law, corporate governance, labor law, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, litigation, compliance, risk management, and regulatory affairs. I'm known for my strategic approach to legal challenges and my ability to drive business initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. I have successfully built and scaled the legal department at Vitesco Technologies in Latin America, and led significant projects such as the seamless transition post-spinoff from Continental and a major M&A deal in Brazil. Previously, I served as Head of Compliance at Mercedes-Benz Product Group Mexico, where I successfully implemented comprehensive compliance programs and promoted a culture of ethical behavior and integrity. Before that, I was a Senior Corporate and Compliance Counsel at GM Financial, where I led crucial negotiations, ensured regulatory compliance, and was instrumental in the implementation of several banking regulations and the automation of AML and CTF compliance systems. I hold a Master’s degree in Law from Universidad Panamericana and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I also hold certificates in Talent Management and Human Resources from Universidad Tecmilenio and in Diversity and Inclusion from the Center for Automotive Diversity Inclusion and Advancement (CADIA). In 2023, I was honored as a Rising Star by The Legal 500 Mexico. I'm a passionate advocate for women's development in the workplace. I support female professionals through the Women’s Employee Resource Group in Mexico, where I was appointed as the inaugural chair, dedicating my efforts to empower and support women in achieving their career goals.
