Biography

PhD (summa cum laude) in International Law at USP. LL.M (with merit) in International Business Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Specialist in Intellectual Property from WIPO. Bachelor of Law from UFMG and Bachelor of International Relations from PUC/MG. Focuses on the regulation of international trade and other economic activities, intellectual property and international business, as well as on the resolution of disputes thereunder. In ​​the area of intellectual property, he represents clients from different sectors – such as nanotechnology, solar panels, software, engineering, advertising and entertainment – in connection with the protection of assets (trademarks, patents, copyrights and others), innovation incentives and negotiations involving technology development and transfer. In 2006 worked for the Brazilian Diplomatic Mission to the WTO in Geneva and to the Dispute Settlement Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2012 and 2013, he worked as a foreign attorney at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LL.P in London.
