Biography

Founder and lead of Centro-i think tank, with the mission of catalyzing systemic change to usher in an era where ethical AI and digital technologies benefit everyone and are used to solve societies’ most pressing problems. Renowned expert in regulation and antitrust. Former Commissioner at Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute, where I fostered digital inclusion as a means for accessing human rights and building a dynamic, competitive industry to bring economic opportunities across the country. I am currently an independent Board Member, the secretary general for the Executive Board of the Digital Economy in Mexico, member of UNESCO's Women4 Ethical Artificial Intelligence Steering Committee and Ethical AI Experts Without Borders and an ITU’s Gender Trendsetter. I led Unesco's AI RAM report for Mexico, and have been an appointed expert to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women CSW67, finalist for Women in AI of the Year North America Award (2023), and co-founder and first chair of ITU-WSIS Champion Awardee Conectadas. Harvard ALI 2023 Fellow, University of Paris PhD in Economics, MIT executive certificate in Management and Leadership.
