Maria Fernanda Gallo is an attorney with extensive experience in anti-bribery and investigations. Originally from Colombia, Maria holds a law degree from her home country. She has furthered her education with an LL.M. from the United States, where she has resided for nearly her entire life. Maria is currently the Director of the Anti-Bribery and Internal Investigations Group at TransPerfect Legal, a global legal technology and language services provider. At TransPerfect, Maria is pivotal in overseeing data management in complex investigations involving corruption and compliance issues. Before her tenure at TransPerfect Legal, Maria worked for 11 years at the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Unit of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this role, she was instrumental in conducting investigations and supporting cases pursued by the U.S. government, demonstrating her expertise in navigating the intricacies of global anti-corruption regulations. Maria's profound knowledge and experience in anti-bribery and internal investigations, coupled with her bilingual and bicultural background, uniquely position her to address the challenges and opportunities that technological advancements bring to the field of internal investigations.
