Biography

Nigel has worked in the legal sector since 2004. He held global leadership development roles in two international firms for 13 years (Simmons & Simmons, and Reed Smith), winning multiple awards over many years for innovative development programmes for the firms’ teams and clients. Nigel also worked with the firms’ Senior Management on major organisational change and strategy projects. For many years, Nigel’s focus has been advising firms on the changing nature of the legal services market – in particular how firms can manage their talent development strategies, given the changing legal sector career paths and skills needs. Currently he is Professor of Professional Practice at Queen Mary University of London Law School's "Hub for Professional Practice", and is also an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
