Robyn Diaz
Biography
Robyn Diaz is Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and has 20+ years' experience in health care (including global health) and academic medicine/higher education issues. Robyn oversees the legal affairs, compliance, internal audit, and government affairs departments and manages outside counsel relationships for St. Jude. Before joining St. Jude, Robyn was a member of the in-house legal team at MedStar Health in the Washington, DC region, served as an Adjunct Instructor and Academic Preceptor with the Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies, and was an attorney with Crowell & Moring, LLP. Robyn received a J.D. from Georgetown Law, B.A. from Brandeis University, and a Certificate in Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals from Cornell University. Robyn is a frequent speaker at legal industry conferences on topics as varied as global health law, the changing nature of the GC role, ethical and legal issues in research, navigating the pandemic, DE&I initiatives, and data privacy and social media issues. Robyn has been featured on multiple podcasts, including the Women in the Law – On the Record Podcast and the American Health Law Association’s Speaking of Health Law Podcast Series, and has been recognized as “Best of the Bar” and among “Women Who Lead in the Law” by the Memphis Business Journal.
