Brian Whitehurst
Biography
Brian M. Whitehurst is the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Counsel at Lukka, the leading provider of enterprise data & software solutions for the crypto asset industry. Before that, he spent 12 years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York in the Investor Protection Bureau where he spearheaded the office’s blockchain and crypto related actions, including the investigation of Tether and Bitfinex, as well as overseeing the BlockFi settlement. He was also Co-author of the Virtual Markets Integrity Initiative, the first definitive examination of the world’s largest crypto trading platforms. Brian’s expertise lies at the intersection of digital assets and securities and commodities laws. Prior to that, Brian worked for the Office of Former President Clinton where he acted as liaison between the office and heads of state, political leaders, government officials, CEOs of prominent US and international companies, and nonprofit organizations around the globe.
