Samuel Gebru
Biography
Samuel M. Gebru is a social entrepreneur, community organizer, educator, advocate, and policy analyst with over 17 years of political and nonprofit experience in the United States and East Africa. He is a Professor of the Practice of Political Science at Tufts University and Managing Director of Black Lion Strategies, a social impact and public affairs consulting firm. For much of his life, Samuel has worked to advance economic, social, and political relations between the United States and Ethiopia. Since the outbreak of the war in Tigray, he has been a leading voice globally for peace, relief, and accountability, working with governments, civil society, and academia to push for policies and practices that uphold human rights for all in Ethiopia.
