Biography

Roger Chae is the Group General Counsel for Hanon Systems, a public company based in South Korea with over fifty R&D and manufacturing centers located across twenty-one countries and supported by over 21,000 members. Roger started his legal career as a Prosecutor in the United States before gaining invaluable experience in dispute resolution, project finance, and cross-border transactions with multinational law firms in the United States and Asia Pacific. After fifteen years in private practice, Roger pursued his interest in international business by serving as a corporate executive and general counsel with global corporations. He particularly enjoys commercial and legal strategies, problem solving, and business development. Roger grew up in Hawaii and completed his undergraduate studies in International Business at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and obtained his law degree from the University of San Francisco. His interests in global business are complemented by an MBA degree from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business.
