Biography

Antonio Sánchez joined Uría Menéndez in 2006 and was appointed Partner of the firm in 2017. Between November 2017 and March 2020 he was relocated to the firm’s Beijing office to lead the firm’s Asian practice. In 2013 he had been seconded to Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU) in Bogotá (Colombia), gaining an invaluable insight into Latin America. Antonio regularly advises private equity houses, industrial companies, banks and other commercial institutions (national and international) in all types of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions and financing. He also enjoys a wide experience in cross-border transactions, particularly in deals involving Chinese and Latin American elements.
