Biography

As Aon’s U.S. Property Claims Officer, Jim Harrington works with Aon's corporate clients and their insurers to resolve complex property insurance claims. He also helps Aon's clients evaluate coverage issues and develop prospective policy wording solutions. In recent years Jim has written and spoken on the impact of climate change on property claims frequency and severity and on the urgent need for greater climate sustainability. During his legal career prior to joining Aon in 2018, Jim presented numerous property insurance programs to the annual Loss Executives Association meeting, the Property Claims Committee of the American Insurance Association, the American Bar Association Tort & Trial Practice Section, the Builder's Risk & Construction symposium, the Aon Property Risk Symposium, and the Property Loss Research Bureau. As an insurance lawyer, Jim Harrington held Martindale Hubbell's highest (AV) rating and was named a Top Lawyer in Insurance (ALM), a Best Lawyer in Insurance Law (Best Lawyers In America©), and a recipient of the 2017 Loss Executive Association’s Cronin Award for contributions to the property claims profession.
