A webinar presented by the IBA Insolvency Section and the IBA Latin American Regional Forum
This webinar shall address the problem of distress and insolvency in regulated industries in Latin America, particularly in respect of energy companies and public utilities, as well as telecommunications companies.
It’ll assess matters such as:
- how to deal with the regulator;
- whether a company can survive a formal reorganisation proceeding;
- what happens to the power purchase agreements signed with the government’s agency upon insolvency; and
- whether Chapter 11 is a more convenient option for such companies to avoid government intervention.
As we are limited to 1,000 registrants, we request that you please only register for this event if you will be attending.
