A webinar presented by the IBA Young Lawyers Committee, supported by the IBA Arbitration Committee
This webinar is the first of the IBA Young Lawyers Committee’s ‘The IBA basics on…’ series, a series of one-hour virtual training programmes focusing on educating students and young attorneys on the fundamentals of different practice areas. Attorneys often fall into their practice areas as a result of sheer coincidence, such as a job opening or a need from their employer. This series aims to give more agency to young lawyers seeking to mould their careers before they enter the profession and while they still have the opportunity.
This webinar will be centred around arbitration and will offer a better understanding of what arbitration is, what skills those wishing to enter the field will require, and how to break into this area. The webinar aims to give attendees a clearer idea of what this practice area entails in terms of the type of work and the skill sets needed to succeed.
