The 6th European Automotive and Mobility Services Conference, held on 25–26 March 2026 at Upside East in Munich, once again brought together legal professionals and industry leaders to explore the rapidly evolving automotive and mobility landscape.

Organised by the IBA European Regional Forum, the Conference focused on transformation and innovation in an era of profound industry change. Discussions highlighted the convergence of sustainability, digitalisation and technological advancement, reflecting how the sector is being reshaped by new business models, regulatory developments and global challenges.

A dynamic programme also addressed key topics such as artificial intelligence in automotive innovation, the ever-increasing importance of cybersecurity, regulatory frameworks keeping pace with technological change, supply chain resilience and the future of automotive distribution in a digital-first market. Particular attention was given to the growing role of data, autonomous technologies and the need for secure and open access to vehicle data to support innovation and consumer trust. Considering the times we are living in, it was impossible not to talk about defence and the need for flexibility in a world that changes daily while the laws that aim to regulate it lag behind.

The Conference featured an outstanding line-up of speakers from leading organisations across the sector, including Microsoft, Volvo, Lamborghini, BMW, AUDI, IVECO and BYD, alongside experts from academia and consultancy. Their diverse perspectives provided practical insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

In addition to the substantive programme, the Conference offered valuable networking opportunities, further strengthening connections within the ERF community and beyond.

The 2026 edition once again confirmed the importance of this Conference as a flagship ERF event, providing a forward-looking platform for discussing how law, technology and business intersect in shaping the future of mobility.
