SUMMARY:The case for an international model law on asset recovery
DESCRIPTION:This panel will discuss the feasibility and desirability of p
 reparing an international model law to assist practitioners in making re
 coveries for plaintiffs and creditors. In particular\, the session will 
 reference the work underway by UNCITRAL Working Group V on the topic of 
 civil asset tracing and recovery in insolvency proceedings\, and UNCITRA
 L insolvency texts\, such as:\n\n\n	the 1997 UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross
 -Border Insolvency\;\n	the 2018 UNCITRAL Model Law on Recognition and En
 forcement of Insolvency-Related Judgments\; and\n	the 2019 UNCITRAL Mode
 l Law on Enterprise Group Insolvency.\n\n
