DESCRIPTION:The IBA Forum for Government and Public Lawyers was establish
 ed this year\, making it the IBA’s newest committee. The forum aims to p
 rovide a home for government and public lawyers from around the world.\n
 \nThis inaugural session will focus on the role and practice of the gove
 rnment and public lawyer\, including around the values and objectives th
 at ground public service\, ethics and specialist skills\, as well as con
 sideration of public international law developments.\n\nThe session will
  be of particular interest to practitioners working in legal departments
  in local\, national and international government and public bodies\, in
 cluding Parliamentary counsel\, but will also provide a fascinating insi
 ght into the work of government and public lawyers for private sector la
 wyers.\n
