  founders\, public and private valuations seemingly\ndecoupled from conv
 ention\, high-vote founder shares and voting\nagreements\, a forward-lea
 ning lingo of ‘disruption’\, ‘space\nrace’\, ‘massively scalable’ and ‘p
 aradigm shift’ have all been the\nhallmarks of a trend whose time has co
 me and\, perhaps\, is moving\ninto a new phase. This has been accompanie
 d by some of the\nmost notable governance trends and events of the fi na
 ncial cycle\,\nmany of them surrounding the question of the proper balan
 ce\nbetween founder autonomy and board and shareholder oversight.\nThis
