 e crisis. It will explore how lawyers in the private and public sectors 
 can use a variety of legal tools including environmental and human right
 s law to promote sustainable and responsible investment in agriculture w
 ithin their national contexts.\n\nSUSTAINABILITY FOCUS sessions marked a
 s such are part of the IBA Annual Conference 2022 sustainability focus o
 n Tuesday and Thursday\, grouping sessions discussing different aspects 
 of ESG and sustainability across the different legal fields.\n\nAdvancin
 g Land-based Investment Governance (ALIGN) supports governments\, civil 
 society\, local communities and other relevant actors in strengthening t
 he governance of land-based investments. The project is implemented by a
  consortium led by the International Institute for Environment and Devel
 opment (IIED)\, the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI) and
  Namati\, and is funded with UK aid from the UK government. Some of this
